• Hello !

I just updated my Coppermine integration plugin for WordPress. I think it has become interesting enough to announce.

    You can find it here.

Also, I have a live demo here.

    Main features:

    • It adds a bar above the editor showing the most recent pictures. you can insert them in a post with one click.
    • dropdown boxes allow you to choose the alignment (left/right/center/inline) and the size (normal/thumbnail) for the images to insert in your posts.
    • With a slight modification to Coppermine (1.33) you can share users and sessions between both systems, so you only need to login once. (this is optional).
    • it provides functions to display pictures/albums/random images etc in your wordpress theme.

  • It would be nice to package all the files into one zip file including instruction or readme.

    Thanks

    It would be nice ??

But.. I would like to know what proportion of ppl are interested in the advanced install. And I can’t force ppl to leave a comment.

So while I’m still adding new features to the plugin, I will keep it this way. I intend to add a one-click install for use with wp-plugins in the future, but there are some things I want to do first.

Btw, if you use the simple install, you only have to download coppermine.php.

thanks for checking this out !

Well, I changed my mind. Version 2.7 is ready, waiting for you to unzip it ??

    Stilgar,

Thanks for doing that, I will install and test out later. ~Rocky

This should be pretty good. I was debating what gallery software to use for my graphics portfolio and I think you just made my decision easier. I was looking for seemless wordpress integration and this is definitely a step in the right direction!

Congratulations Stilgar on a terrific piece of work, I was there playing with the demo a while ago, very, very nice!

nice one. the best solution to add images in wordpress.

    3.0 is out ! Thanks everybody !

I’m going to use this for a brand new blog that I haven’t yet set up. What is the recommended WP/Coppermine install/set-up for this: WP installed in root directory and Coppermine in separate directory below root? WP and Coppermine both installed in root directory? WP and Coppermine both installed in separate directories below root directory (ex: /wp, /coppermine)?

hcm: sorry for the late reply.
Any combination should work. I think WP in the root directory and Coppermine in a subdir is the most common layout. (and the most elegant imo)

Hi, this seems like a great plugin! I have it activated, but I have a problem. When I click on “Upload Files”, I get this error in the popup window:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare spring_cleaning() (previously declared in /customers/jorgent.com/jorgent.com/httpd.www/coppermine/wp-upload.php:585) in /customers/jorgent.com/jorgent.com/httpd.www/coppermine/include/logger.inc.php on line 104

Everything else seems to work correctly. I uploaded a picture from the coppermine directory, and I can see the picture in the wp admin, and I can use it, but I can’t upload from wp admin because of this error. I’ve tried to fix the problem, but now I’m out of ideas..

    Anyone?

Not easy to get help these days.. ??

I’ll try to download coppermine 1.35. I have coppermine 1.4 now, and maybe that’s the reason why this plugin wont work properly.

I’ll let you know if that’s the reason. Maybe someone else encounter this problem.

    (@jorgent)

That solved the problem! So if anyone get that error, just download coppermine 1.35, and not the newest version. Great!

Sorry Jorgent, I don’t check these forums very often. If you need help, the best way is to ask for it on my site:

The latest versions now also support coppermine 1.4.x.
