I don’t use this plugin myself but I make it available to all the websites I make for clients. Nowadays there are way too many annoying things going on that have nothing to do with the basics of this plugin:

    1. Ads and/or nag screens and meta boxes that tell you to pay for the “Pro” version.
    2. Adding a “critical” warning to Site Health because GA is not connected yet. This is ridiculous.
    3. Stop suggesting installing the plugins All in one SEO and WPForms Lite. Most clients just do this and are adding crap to their websites without knowing it.
    4. Probably more will follow in the future which will make this plugin a no go.

    Hi @danielbenjamins,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

I’m sorry about the notifications and suggestions. It’s not our intent to cause clutter. We try to provide as much value as possible to our users by communicating the Pro version features and suggesting plugins that we integrate with directly for more reporting features because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.

If you would prefer to not use our suggested plugins, you’ll be able to deselect them for installation during the setup process. Or, if you decide after completing the setup wizard to not use them, you’ll be able to remove them like other WordPress plugins.

ExactMetrics actively monitors if your Google Analytics tracking code is working as expected. Our goal is to help ensure website owners have the most accurate statistics. If we detect any critical issues, we display a notice in Tools ? Site Health so website owners are aware of the problem.

If ExactMetrics has been installed, but not yet connected to a Google Analytics property, then your clients will just need to make sure to go to ExactMetrics ? Settings and click on Launch Setup Wizard to authenticate into their Google Analytics property, and that warning will no longer appear.

We really appreciate you for giving us a try and if you have any suggestions for the things you’d like to see in the Lite version, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.

And if you’d like more help with using ExactMetrics Lite, please feel welcome to reach us at https://www.exactmetrics.com/lite-support/

    Thank you.

Those checkboxes should be unchecked by default, what you are doing is very shady ??????????

Not connecting your plugin to GA should never cause a critical warning in Site Health. You are causing a lot of uncertainty and questions among clients ??????????

By now I really regret advising my clients to use your plugin, but since so many already connected their GA to your plugin, switching to a different plugin is kind of impossible ??????????

This plugin was my choice for all the sites I build. Now Im getting these popups.
How do I disable the popup from the dashboard?
Why build this plugin with popups with we have widgets on our dashboard.
I won’t be using this plugin anymore. it’s full of bloat now ??
    Disapointed
