• No other plugins has sent me this number of notifications as I have received in the last few days from Yoast.

You shouldn’t be ALLOWED to do that with our sites. It is aggressive, unwanted, repeating interference with my site.

Since when WordPress allows that kind of agressive marketing ON OUR SITES for some plugin?

You won’t get anywhere like this.

Expecting a fix and a honest apology for ruining my WordPress experience.

  • Hi @catalinfx,

    Thanks for your review.

We are sorry to hear you find the Yoast notifications annoying.

Yoast SEO plugin displays a limited set of notifications in the WordPress dashboard. The aim of these notifications is to help you identify issues affecting your website’s SEO and maintenance. For example, if you’re blocking search engines from indexing your website, Yoast SEO will warn you about this as this is a critical issue to your SEO. The notifications that appear under SEO > General can be hidden individually by clicking on the strikethrough icon that appears next to the notification.

If you’re experiencing unexpected behavior regarding notifications, i.e. you’ve hidden a notification but it gets reactivated after an update, we’d really appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.

    Thanks!

    Notifications are not the problem.
    Their FREQUENCY is.

I’m expecting them to go after being notified. But they come back and ruin my WordPress experience. I can always see the red bubbles and I always think there’s something wrong.

When you close a notification, it shouldn’t be coming back for a while.

    Yoast’s are there to stay.

    And THAT shouldn’t be allowed.

If every plugin maker would’ve done the same, people would’ve ran from WordPress altogether.

    Agreed?

So why YOU do it and others don’t?

Given up Yoast for Rankmath for now. See if you can fix something out. Then I might reconsider.

That’s the definition of losing clients. You’re welcome for the feedback.

    Good luck.

It’s not only the frequency, it’s the kind of notification, I REALLY don’t want to see a red bubble in my dashboard just to get the info that a hungarian translation is available. Are you serious? I couldn’t care less about some translation files added. And I don’t want a notice each and every time I delete a post. Please, at least give users an option to disable these rather useless messages.
