Annoying notifications won’t go away

Thanks for contacting us and I apologize for the trouble!

When you have some time, can you please share the specific issue and steps to replicate you’re facing with the notification along with some screenshots?

In the meantime, can you please check if there is some cron job running on the server which is processing the notifications multiple times? Along with that, can you please share the website URL so I can take a closer look?

Also, when you get a chance, please enable AJAX submission and see if that fixes the issue.

Sorry, it’s been too long, i forgot which one of the websites i manage this was on, and i rarely use WP Forms. Also i already closed those notifications, so there isn’t anything to take a screenshot of.

I was talking about the backend notifications of your plugin, advertising new or Pro features, i’m sure you which ones those are.
Last time there were at least 6 of them, and if i click on the X button to close/dismiss them too fast one after another, the notifications look like they all close, but if i refresh the page or go elsewhere and come back then all the notifications reappear, except for the first one, which seems to be the only one that registered the close action.

I don’t use cron jobs, so i doubt there is one running.

I read that AJAX submission article, that looks like it has nothing to do with my issue. Did you think i was talking about form submission notifications?

Thanks for sharing the details, and I apologize for the confusion! I actually thought that you were facing issues with the email notifications.

It seems that you’re referring to the announcement notifications which can be disabled from WPForms > Settings > Misc > Hide Announcements. Here’s a screenshot for quick reference.
