    Hi,

Bookings allows ‘anonymous mode’ in which guests can register and have an account automatically created during the booking process.

Does anyone know if – in exactly the same way – it is possible to modify the Event Creation form, so that anonymous users automatically register at the same time as creating an event?

The ‘Name’ and ‘Email Fields’ are the same on both forms, so I’m guessing it should be fairly straightforward to replicate the process for Event Creation.

(I’m fairly sure there isn’t already an admin setting to enable this behaviour… unless I’ve overlooked something.)

    Thanks.

    Mathew

  • Hiya,

The easiest way to do that would be to use a plugin that can restrict the event creation form to only registered users, though note that wouldn’t be in the same process.

You could probably make it the same process but that’d take quite an extensive bit of custom coding, and isn’t something we’d specifically be able to help you with here.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for your advice Phil.

I’ve had a look at the code re the bookings form in EM Pro and things do look a little complicated!

I thought it might be as simple as copying a couple of the input fields from that form and adding them to event-editor.php – but obviously not.

I’ll leave it for the time being.
