    How do, Folks

I have searched the forum and can find posts that are close – but not what I am looking for!

403 Forbidden is a seemingly common issue I’m finding and had to resolve an issue with my VPS Admin Panel provider. They assisted in resolving my initial Issue of Accessing my entire site by working on the Apache ModSecurity files; it was something to do with HTTP version access permissions (/0.9, /1.0 etc)… which worked a treat by /2.0!

However, while this worked and I’m on/in my site now and generally working with it… yet there seems to be an issue with the plugins!

I’ve disabled and enabled them, can even remove them through FTP – but!

Internally/Admin: Each time I want to update, activate or delete them, I keep getting a 403 Forbidden Error, specifically:
Update failed: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”> 403 Forbidden

It also can affect other functions too, such as WordFence.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Sorry… it seems that some of my post has been cut off!

I was wondering, could this be something do with a damaged/corrupt code or process within the wp-admin folder.

there’s nothing unusual within my wp-config file as it’s all pretty standard.

hope you can offer any ideas, and thank you in advance.

    Hi Vijay

Thanks for taking the time to look in, appreciate it!

I will certainly have a thorough look at it shortly, at the moment and at first glance, it does look like I have tried most of the solutions… So much so, I am starting to think of venturing in the direction of my server or rebuilding my site.

Either way, I will report back ??

    How do @vijayhardaha

I’ve tried all those proposed in the link – both before, and double-checked on your suggestion just in case I had missed something.

Unfortunately, and by the looks of things, it’s not one of those problems that’s an easy fix… it could well be a little deeper!

If there are any other ideas, I’m all ears? ??

    Regards, John

    How do,

Everything is now a green light in Site Health! All relatively smooth running, however, there does seem to be a deeper/hidden issue that needs addressing.

So I’ll close this one now and open another… it’s a weird one!

    KR, John
