another (dumb) questioon about sub-categorys!

  • Hi.
    I am quite new to WP. After implementing it in my site-design. i have one question on the sub-category subject.
    Is it at all possible to make the sub-categorys appear somewere else on the page? For instance, if i use the blog categorys as main menu. Is there a way to make the sub categorys appear in my side-menu, when a main-category is clicked?… Instead of next to the category it belongs to..
    Do i make any sense? The reason for this is that it would make wp alot more useful for me…

    Cmon, please. Someone has to know if it at all is possible!
    – to have the sub-categorys show in a different place on the site…

    if i use:
    <?php wp_list_cats(‘child_of=1 ‘); ?>
    it will print exacly what i want. but only for one category…. i want the category id to be the “current one”…
