To explain the widgets situation, I’ve intentionally removed widgets and sidebars support in this theme. Many of my users don’t use sidebars anyway and so the only sidebar I could use for this theme would be in the footer. But then I realized that block editor gives you more power to build custom footer design than any sidebar would. So I stayed away from sidebars in this theme and allowed creating your own site footer and error 404 page content with block editor.

Could you maybe provide more info where would you like to use widgets? Are you missing the actual sidebar on a blog page maybe?

You’re totaly right – i missed the widgets just for a moment. After i realized how to add my footer via block editor, i knew why you removed it. It’s ways better! I was just used to use widgets.. On my first Michelle Project (https://verein-horizonte.de/) i’m still not missing the sidebar, i’ll let you know if i will miss anything on my next project (https://growdy.com/).
