• I have now used Montezuma in over a year on one of my sites. I’m very happy with the theme – thanks!

What I’m wondering, in order for the website to get higher usability in mobile devices, is whether you in the next version of the theme Montezuma can implement another mobile navigation than the current dropdown? A more established mobile navigation?

  • A drop-down is a pretty standard menu for a mobile site. What exactly did you have in mind, like a DIV that slides out from the side? You can post feature suggestions on the BytesForAll Montezuma Support Forum.

Yes – like a icon that slides out a menu.

OK, you gave me a nice project to work on yesterday. You can see the results here. If you are interested in seeing how it’s done, take a look at this thread on the BytesForAll Montezuma forum.

    OK – thank you!
It was exactly what I meant ??

If I implement the HTML, CSS and JS that you refer to on BytesForAll – will the implementation of the hamburger menu remain the next time I update the theme Montezuma? Or do I need to once again implement your hamburger menu?

All of your changes should be saved, because those options are stored in the database. However, it is always good practice to save your settings before you make any major changes by going to Montezuma Options > Export Import > Export Settings and saving the contents of the Current Montezuma Settings field to a text file. If anything seriously goes wrong with your modifications, you can always return to a backup.

Good luck with your changes; once you get it working, I’d be interested to see how you implemented it, so please share a link to your site when you’re done.
