another new WP user

  • now, go easy on me. i’m not a coder, and not much of a designer… had to figure out css when i moved from static html to MT… then with WP, php isn’t very friendly.
    BUT, i can learn… and this is what i’ve come up with: https://www.riffst3r.com (um, this is splash that takes you to the WP index)
    right now, i’ve given up hopes on validating… i’ve got over 150 errors. after looking at the first 20 or so, none of them made sense… my tags are closed.
    archives are in the works, i’m trying to list them as category > date. much more simpler to manage than multiple blogs, so are individual post pages. come to think of it, a lot of things need work. argh.
    so yeah, thoughts and comments?

  • When I view the page (using firefox) the text seems to be too low, so that it extends below the bottom of your main grey box.

    now it looks like i do have to validate… i just saw it in firefox and opera (didn’t even think about that before) and it looks like crap. well, not THAT bad in firefox, but still crap. i didn’t realise how many IE specific tags i’ve used. owz… there goes my sleep.

    And yeah, it does look kinda messed up in FF and Opera… but I can see what you’re doing with it, and once you get it right, it will look very nice ??

    alright, my page now validates and it STILL looks like crap in opera and firefox. i dont get it.

    whew it certainly validates… ?? and yeah looks crap in Opera. But its different and you like it on ur browser. i guess thats good enough! ??
