Another Page appears at top of mine
-
Hi
I’ve just started building my site with the free version of SG Window Version: 1.2.0When I look at my ‘About’ page and ‘Our Services’ page, and also ‘E.V. Inform’ page, one of the other pages ‘Our Services’ is imposed above it. Ie, for the Our Services page, I get another empty page named ‘Our Electrical Services’ page and for the ‘About Us’ page I get an empty ‘Our Electrical Services’ section of page above that, and again above the ‘E.V. Inform’ page, and no matter what I do, I can’t delete it. I’m using windows 10 and Edge browser.
I wonder what I’m not doing or seeing. My domain is
https://www.evenergisingsolutions.co.uk
I had some help from a member of the www.ads-software.com forum last night who suggested I try here after doing what he thought the problem could be and it didn’t resolve it so he’s thinking there may be a fault with the theme.
I did his suggestions without success as he quoted me to do as below:
‘I believe that is the “Featured Image” function which you can turn off by, in your Dashboard, going to Appearance > Customize > Customize Layout > Page and uncheck “Display Featured Image”.’
My reply:
‘ Thanks for your reply. I did go into
Dashboard, going to Appearance > Customize > Customize Layout > Page and uncheck “Display Featured Image”
like you suggested, but found that ‘Display Featured Image’ was already unchecked.
I then tried making a dummy page to test if a new page would still have the same problem and it does. So, I’m a bit stuck.’‘I inspected it and it is a Sidebar. Go to Appearance > Customize > Customize Layout > Page and uncheck “First Top Sidebar”.’
‘Thank you again, but I went into this section again and ‘First Top Sidebar’ is unchecked. ‘
This is the code for the page section:
<div class=”sg-header-area”>
<div class=”header-wrap”><div id=”sidebar-1″ class=”sidebar-top-full wide”>
<div class=”widget-area”><aside id=”text-7″ class=”widget widget_text”><h3 class=”widget-title”>Our Electrical Services</h3>
<div class=”textwidget”>
<img class=”aligncenter wp-image-292″ title=”E.V. Energising Solutions Electrical Services” src=”https://evenergisingsolutions.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Services-3__edited-2.jpg” height=”280″ width=”200″>
<p></p>
</div>
</aside>
</div><!– .widget-area –>
</div><!– .sidebar-top-full –></div><!– .header-wrap –>
</div>This section…
div id=”sidebar-1″ class=”sidebar-top-full wide”
…is the sidebar top.
If unchecking this does not remove it, then there is an issue with this theme and you should contact the developers of the theme on their support forum.Try this first…
Go to Appearance > Customize > Customize Layout > Page and check “First Top Sidebar”.
Press the “Save and Publish” blue buton.
Then, uncheck “First Top Sidebar” again and press the “Save and Publish” blue buton.
Look at the site.’‘I have done all of this without success. Any ideas, anyone?
Thank you for your time,
Stella
