• You were the obvious choice to avoid the other bloated SMTP plugin in the market, but since the last update, it’s time to look for another option. It’s just a matter of time until the company introduces new features for X dollars per month.

What happened? Why did the plugin go from 174 KB to 1,877 KB? And why do you need to introduce a new shiny interface? That only leads to confusion and bloat.

Anyway, I already found a better option. At least you offered an option to completely remove the plugin, so I appreciate it (really, I’m not being sarcastic).

    EDIT:

Funny. After your reassurance that size will remain “optimized”, turns out that the size now is almost double: 2,949 KB.

Disappointing. Get rid of Easy WP SMTP.

    Hi @sixaxis

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re sorry to hear that you have already switched to a different plugin, but we’ll address your feedback.

The recent size increase is due to our latest adjustments to Easy WP SMTP which include new features such as:

    • The SendLayer, Mailgun, Sendinblue, and SMTP.com email provider integrations.
    • As well as Debug Events – logging all email-sending errors and debug events.

Note that these are free features with the intention of streamlining the setup process for specific SMTP services while maintaining the original setup process via the Other SMTP mailer.

Also, despite this size increase, we will ensure that Easy WP SMTP remains optimized in terms of functionality as well as file size over time.

We hope that you give Easy WP SMTP another shot in the future. Again we thank you for your feedback.
