    I am looking for a forum plugin that be used long term on a peepso community site.interested to see that you may be coming out with an integration Been testing your basic forum without any addons. Had some questions before purchasing addons?
    Did I read somewhere that the forum does not use a custom post type? What will that mean going forward with changes to WP?
    Also does that mean things like social media embeds that are standard in WP post and custom post types don’t work with the forum posts?

    If you’re going to use the forum with peepso I’d recommend bbPress. wpForo is not compatible with peepso profile system.

    wpForo doesn’t use custom post types, so the topics and posts are not stored in wp_posts table, wpForo has its own tables for topics ( _wpforo_topics) and posts ( _wpforo_posts).
    Custom post types are being stored in wp_posts and wp_postmeta table. All what you have in WP are already there. This becomes very large and heavy. If you familiar with MySQL you should know that it’s dozens of times faster to get x, y and z data from the same _wpforo_posts table than get those from two wp_post and wp_postmeta tables. wp_posts and wp_postmeta logic is terribly heavy for forums. Custom post types are not suitable for a professional and fast forum board.

    For the 3rd party content embedding you should get wpForo Embeds addon.

    So to be clear there is no peepso integration in the works and the standard WP social media embeds require a addon?

    Yes, there is no integration with peepso. Regarding to social media embeds, you can put a small code in functions.php to enable some of them, the addon is not required. But there is a wpForo Embeds addon witch has all WP standard options and dozens of more embedding options.
