Another Spam Comment Question

  • I had 4 spam comments showing in the right side-column of my blog under the “Comments” header. I want into the moderation area and deleted them. However, they still continue to show on my blog’s homepage. According to my wp-admin comments area, I don’t have any comments. But I still see them.

    Can someone tell me how to get them erased from my homepage?

  • In your browser, do a “hard refresh” (usually CTRL + F5 for most) and make sure you’re not looking at a cached page.

    Did that – still showing! VERY bizarre!!

    I wouldn’t mind seeing this in action if you wouldn’t mind offering an URL…

    I just fixed it completely by just DELETING the “php
    global $comment” code in the sidebar.php file. So now I have it that NO comments are showing in my sidebar at all, which is fine by me.
