I really love this plugin that is very simple and easy to use for non-tech end users.

Yet, here’s an odd conflict with a WordPress core feature that I recently discovered:
    1. Author name of another user in a blog post published by her does not appear but admin (myself).
    2. Unable to change author name to another user in a post published by admin (myself).

I tested it on both live WP site in a remote server and a freshly installed WP test site without any other plugins in my local server.

It seems like that other users are ignored or not recognized by WordPress no matter what user role they are when this plugin is activated. Whoever publishes a post, author name of all the posts displays as admin’s display name. At the edit post panel or quick post pane, there is only one item “Admin” to choose in “Author” drop-down selection button.

I could change author name when it’s inactive. Then author name displayed as I wanted. But it’s a kinda tedious workaround and I hope to find a better workaround or a real solution out there.

    Any thoughts??

    Thanks a lot!

Roles and Capabilities is something only recently introduced to the plugin and I thought it was fully tested. This appears to not be the case.

Let me do some investigation and report back.

I’ve found the bug and am now busy testing. If you can email me through the plugin website (https://quick-plugins.com) I’ll send you the update to play with.
