This plugin looks fantastic but when I configured it, it returned the Viewport Meta Tag Not Found error.

I have just installed the Aesop Story Engine plugin on a WordPress network site and installed the Aesop Sample theme, which you can find here.

The website is on a test server, and you can find the latest post which I’m just playing with here.

I’m not a hard-core coder but I don’t mind tinkering under the bonnet, so if you have any recommendations on how to fix this, please let me know.

Further to this post I have switched back to the Avada theme and still cannot view the menu as the same error is still occurring.

Now working. Played around with the settings and made sure my ‘breaks at’ pixel setting is set to 2000px.

Also you should be aware that the three menu lines sit on top of the ‘logged in to WP’ bar at the top of the page, making it can be hard to spot. I’ve taken to working in Chrome and checking the website logged out in Firefox.

    Hi demonboy,

Apologies for the late reply, however it looks like you got it working by yourself which is great news!

I am aware of the logged into WP bar issue, however this is something that your customers shouldn’t see (unless you require them to login).

You can always disable the WP bar from the front end if needed (which is what I do on my sites). It is of course useful, but not fundamentally needed.

In regards the Viewport Meta Tag Finder this is not always 100% accurate as a lot of shared servers don’t enable it’s use and such will always return an error.

This is more of a guide than anything serious so you can ignore any not found errors.

I hope the above helps and thanks for using the plug-in!

    Many thanks

    Peter

Hi Peter, thanks for the reply. The plugin is excellent, exactly what I wanted. I’ll leave some positive feedback in due course. It is well worth the 5/5 ratings you’re getting.

    Keep up the great work.

    Cheers,

    Jamie

    Hi Jamie,

Great to hear that you are enjoying the plug-in and that you got your issues sorted.

A 5* rating is always welcome as it lets me know I am on the right path so thanks for this!

    Many thanks

    Peter
