Any alternatives known?

Hello,

does anyone know a good alternative to social crowd due to the fact that the author told us it will take weeks until the twitter-count will work again?

In my case I just need the output of a number: the number of followers using a shortcode or php-code. No graphics, no visuals, just the count itself.

Does anyone knows an alternative?
