Any idea how to override my current theme's page builder?

I’m using a theme that came with a page builder however, it doesn’t offer everything that I need (specifically posts in list form rather than one at a time). I added your plugin, set everything up on the page and for some reason it won’t show up. I’m guessing that my current theme’s page builder is overriding it. Any php/ css tricks to override or hide their theme?
