  • I’d start by re-enabling right click on your site again.

I don’t see posts on the right side and you’re also using a non-GPL theme – you may not be aware of it – but we don’t support non-GPL themes here at all as they are no consistent with WP policy or philosophy.

    Hi Esmi:

thanks for the suggestion, can you be a bit more specific?

    thanks

    @wpyogi

GPL theme? I have no idea what that is?

This template was DL’d from WP two years ago?

    Jamie

We cannot examine your site if the right-click has been disabled on it.

And your theme was downloaded from https://newwpthemes.com/ I would strongly recommend that you read this article and consider changing to a theme from a reputable source asap.

LOL man, I am dumber than a bag of hammers sometimes ??

you meant the actual ‘right click’ on the mouse that prevents the copying of the articles? yes?

    okay, will deactivate the widget

hang on, hang on, hang on?

    ‘more reputab;e’ ??

are those guys a little *ahem* ‘shady’ shall we say?

problem is though is the lack of basic CSS knowledge obn my part makes my needs more ‘precise’. The majpority of the themes offered in the WP section do not have anything like those themes I use.

let me take a quick look at some of them again, but stuff like Twnety 12? sweet Lord I could never get that to work

    jay

    Maybe try GamePress?

    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/gamepress

And themes from here are supported here ?? so people can help you out!

are those guys a little *ahem* ‘shady’ shall we say?

    Yes.

GamePress is too basic, ( and downright unresponsive ) it doesn’t house enough features and it doesn’t allow for simple customization ( my issue with the vast majority of the WP ‘approved’ sites )

the sites that are approved and are customizable look bland and uninspiring. they require far too much effort on my part to be a web designer ( I mean, lets be fair here, if I could do all of the things in CSS and coding that is required by most of the sites I would be able to make my own template for a theme in the first place )

    ho-hum

back to the drawing board, I think?

I still don’t see why newWPthemes are considered ‘bad guys’??

let me see whats in the themes bundles….but at a quick glance it hasn’t changed much in two years ??

I still don’t see why newWPthemes are considered ‘bad guys’??

Did you read the article at the link I posted above?

    Thread Starter FELIXjk007

    (@felixjk007)

    which link?

there is one that links to a theme but I don’t see an article? :S

    hi esmi

just changed the theme, but for the love of all things Holy ( and not forgetting my sanity ) please tell me that themepix are okay?

    Jay

We can only endorse themes in https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ or those downloaded from the recommended commercial suppliers. I have no idea whether themepix are “good” or “bad”.

    Thread Starter FELIXjk007

    (@felixjk007)

I think they are a ‘goody’ as they are in the recommended section on your articles and they are GPL friendly ( phew!! )

right, time to attempt my hap hazard approach to website customization

to the digital drawing board driver!! and don’t spare the cyber gorses

ne-e-e–I-I–ggh!! ( that was the horsey, by the way! )

    thanks Esmi

better safe than sorry and at least you steered me in the right direction

lets just see if the problem is still with the new theme?

    Jay
