• Simple as can be and I set my Pressgram category in General > Setting and sent my first photo to my website to the Pressgram category. How exciting ?? but the plugin didn’t do the job for me as the Pressgram category still shows on my blog home page.

Could it possibly be the theme I’m using? I’m using a StudioPress child theme for Genesis?

  • Nevermind — I just used the Genesis theme settings to remove the Pressgram category.

kalanit, how did you get this to work. Cannot publish to WP. I have plugin and everything setup in the app. Much help would be appreciated:)

    Thanks

I didn’t use this plugin to remove the Pressgram category. I’m using the Genesis framework so was able to remove Pressgram category in Genesis settings. The plugin is only to keep the new Pressgram category from showing on your archive / main blog page.

One thing I did figure out though — for each picture you take in Pressgram, you must push the slider button under Publish to (your blog) to activate. I took a few pics initially and walked through the steps to publish and it didn’t publish. It’s because for each picture, you have to select to publish by sliding the button to the right.

Hope that makes sense. Make sure you do this for each picture or it won’t publish to your blog.

Thanks! Makes sense now. Wish I could go back to a photo and publish, that’s where I got messed up. I successfully published to my blog.

    Thanks again.

FYI … the plugin now does more than just hide your Pressgram photos from your front page. If you’ve removed it in favor of other options for hiding a category, you might want to consider checking out the new settings it offers. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!
