Any limit on number of sub sites?

    Hi,
    Is there a Limit on the number of sub sites I cn have on a multi site install? I anticipate upto 3,000 subsites. Is there anything I should consider that may hamper my progress in the future?

    The load on your server.

    Seriously though there is not a limit to # of sites. But there is a limit to how much a server can handle, which depends on how active your 3,000 sites will be.

    Funding.

    Seriously, that’s your limitation. As long as you can afford to keep buying the hardware, WP can handle it.

    Keep in mind wordpress.COM is a multisite install.

    I smell load balanced servers… 100meg connections and a whole lot of $$$.
