In the meantime, what would be the solution for using on WPMU installation with main site only?
Isn’t there a cheaper alternative to the Pro for Multiuser(MU) because I only need it for the main site and the basic PRO version doesn’t seem to work on WPMU.

Free version doesn’t work on WPMU.
“Pro” version does work only on the one “main” site.
“Pro for WPMU” has full support

Any version including “free” can post custom post types.
