Any plans for webp?

    Well… Topic title says it all. Is there any plans for including the feature of optimizing to webp? I have done some manual testing, and on browsers that support webp it will increase loading speed.

    Hi Kaarebe,

    The API is quite ready for webp, but we’re working on a way to integrate it perfectly with reSmush.it plugin, especially for a transparent image replacement according to browser, in the front, as some of them (IE, and old FF versions, and also Safari) doesn’t support this file format (have a look at : https://caniuse.com/#feat=webp)
