    Dear Tutor LMS team,

I am not aware if you know H5P already (https://h5p.org). It’s a framework for interactive content and offers a large variety quizzes and other content types. There’s WordPress integration already, and H5P uses the xAPI standard to forward interaction results (and more). I wonder if you have any plans to allow putting H5P content (created with the H5P plugin for WordPress) into Tutor LMS courses and picking up results from H5P to fuel the gradebook.

    Best,
    Oliver

  • Hello Oliver,

I am sorry to inform you that we do not have any compatibility with H5P right now. We have plans to work on the SCORM and Tin Can API in 2020. We will then work on the H5P compatibility.

We appreciate your patient and cooperation.

    Hi Mehedi!

Thanks a lot for your reply. That’s actually good news! If you are planning to support adding items to the gradebook using the Tin Can API (xAPI) anyway, then afterwards all you have to do is listen to the xAPI statements emitted by H5P and channeling them into your API. Piece of cake. Feel free to get in touch if you need support with that.

    Cheers,
    Oliver

Thanks a lot for your good words. I hope we will get a lot of suggestions from you in the future. You can join our Tutor LMS Community if you want.

    Hi Mehedi!

Sorry, I don’t use Facebook ?? But I’ll try to keep updated anyway, and I just starred your source code on github.

    Cheers,
    Oliver

    Hi @otacke ,

JFYI, though not related to Tutor, but related to H5P. H5P integration works on LearnDash LMS, LifterLMS, WP Courseware and LearnPress LMS via GrassBlade xAPI Companion.

Since last version, Completion as well as score tracking works even without the LRS. However, an LRS adds full tracking, including beautiful Rich Quiz Reports.

    Hi Pankaj!

Thanks for the commercial, but if I need a full blown LRS, I can just install and customize Learning Locker (I ?? open source), and if H5P support in TutorLMS was that important to me, I could add it myself ??

    Best,
    Oliver

    Hi @otacke ,

It was just for your information. And the key information was that, “now” LRS is not required for integration with several LMSes.

I know you, so there is no reason to doubt your programming skills. Nor do I doubt mine.

    Hi Pankaj!

No offense taken, but I’ve never been informed about new features of something in a support thread about something else. Just felt weird.

    Cheers,
    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,

No problem. I thought I was writing about H5P. I rarely write on forums, so probably I need to learn a bit about using forums before trying again.

First lesson learned from you. Thanks for that.

    Hi Pankaj!

“Markets are conversations” (Cluetrain Manifesto), and so are discussions on forums or social media. IMHO, as a rule of thumb, it’s fine to join these conversations as a company as long as you’re contributing to the discussion at hand, not just pushing your message into it.

Feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to discuss this some more. We’re flooding the support here – sorry, TutorLMS team!

    Cheers,
    Oliver

    Okay, ^D

    Hi @otacke !

I am quite new in WordPress and I am trying LearnPress to create a website where I can setting up courses, lessons and so on.

I wonder if you can help me answering a simple question for you.

I want to use H5P. If LearnPress doesn’t integrate it I will change the LMS option. I saw an article where they say it is integrated but when I try to do it by myself I can’t get it.

This is the article https://thimpress.com/h5p-add-on-for-learnpress/ and in this image they say there is an option to add h5p items to your course

. After installing LearnPress and all the add-ons this option is not in my list.

The question is have you got this option when you tested LearnPress and h5p?

Thank you and sorry if I have been very direct but I think you know a lot LearnPress and H5P.

    (@otacke)

@sergiodiazmartinez Well, have you installed H5P? If the LearnPress team say they allow to integrate H5P, that doesn’t mean they ship it together with LearnPress.

    (@sergiodiazmartinez)

    Hi @otacke !,

Yes, I installed H5P plugin version 1.15.0 and I am capable of creating content correctly.

The problem is when I want to add these items to LearnPress. I don’t have the option of the pic and I don’t know if I have to install another add-on. I wrote in the forum of ThimPress but it is a strange forum because you can’t answer when someone writes to you.https://thimpress.com/forums/topic/i-am-not-capable-of-showing-h5p-items-option-in-learnpress/

Thank you for answering so fast.

@sergiodiazmartinez I took a look at their page, and it seems you need to pay extra for https://thimpress.com/product/h5p/
