Any plugin to disable API calls?

First, John, thanks for the great plugin. Been using it on many problematic sites, and, even though I’m not a developer, it helps me to find where the issue is. Very grateful!

My question is about the admin area. Sometimes my admin area gets sluggish, and I see that some plugins are sending some API requests which create this sluggishness. I’d love to find a plugin or a simple solution to just disable these calls one by one. Is there anything you could recommend? Or, the only way is to communicate with plugin authors and hope that they’ll fix it? I know that on the front end there are plenty of plugins like AssetCleanup and Perfmatters for example that solves this problem but don’t see anything for the admin area.
