Any solution to auto-tick parent categories ?

  • Hi!

    I would like to know if there is a plugin or solution that would allowes the auto-ticking of parent categories a post relates to.

    Example.
    If a write a post that will fits in the child category NEW YORK. Can a plugin auto tick the mother catagory USA ?

  • Not what your are asking but will comment that by WordPress standards, ANY category that has been designated a Parent category is not meant to be checked in the category hierarchy when writing posts. Meaning, only the latest generation category should be checked. Think of it like this, only the youngest generation gets the action.

    It’s okay to have multiple categories assigned a post, as long as the other categories are not designated as parents.
