    Hi,

I’m hoping that there might be a WP plugin (ideally compatible with Suffusion theme, but not mandatory) that will allow a group of volunteers to build an archive of land surveying records and also provide website visitors a means of doing searches for that data.

I’ve begun looking into maybe trying this with Joomla, but since I’m already familiar with WP (currently using it at https://www.panocea.us) I wondered if anybody in this community knew of something that comes close “out-of-the-box” that wouldn’t be difficult to modify.

General Goal – Land Survey Archive
    (initial concept presented here: https://panocea.us/HCSA/HCSA11172011.pdf)

    * An online searchable database of historic land records, maps and plans
    * non-commercial; i.e., FREE, no fees, run by volunteers

    General Requirements:

    * A CMS-like interface wherein a community of users input data that’s easy to install and manage
    * Registered users given varied security permission levels to access data input, data management, etc.
    * Volunteers would build / add records of old survey plans
    * Website visitors could search for and download old plans
    * Searches could be ordered by any field for any record – e.g., desktop app Excel, OpenOffice, etc.
    * Allow hyperlinking to related files; e.g., jpg, pdf, etc.

Here’s interface mockup for adding a record:

Here’s the interface mockup for search for a record:

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Kelly
