Any tips on setting cookies?
-
I would really like to use the cookie control option to show content based on what pages (section) the user have previously visited. A sort of “internal remarketing” function.
Do you guys know:
1) Is there any way making the blocks “connected” in the sense that I only want to show 1 block which corrosponds to the last section of the website is visited? (If the user have visited 10 sections on the website I don’t want to show 10 blocks).. Or is this not possible?2) Do you guys know of any plugin (or easy way) to set the cookie info? Specifically, I want to set a cookie on the section of a website visited last. So if the user visits mywebsite.com/section-about-b2b/specific-page I need the cookie to read “section-about-b2b” or the like that the Block Visibility plugin can read (I guess it can actually use the full URL as well and the operator “contains” or something like that).
I guess the big challenge is that some pages should not override the cookie.. E.g. if a user visits mywebsite.com/about-us-section/contact-us-page we would not have any “remarketing” content for the about us section, and hence we would still need to show the last relevant section visited was section-about-b2b..
Do you guys see any “easy” way of doing something like this? Or even know of a plugin that can handle it?Note: This is the functionality I’m looking to use: How to Use the Cookie Control – Block Visibility (blockvisibilitywp.com)
