    Hello:
I think I could make a great use of this plugin, but I can only see that the tutorials are written and so far seem very confusing to me. Do you know of any good video tutorials where everything is explained step by step in a visual way .

    Thank you very much

As far as I understand the sync is only in one direction, that is perfect but what i am afraid is to break my files info or structure in the Media Folder. Can I choose exactly what to sync . For example, I select a group of files in Lightroom to edit keywords of files that are already uploaded in the Media Folder . I create a Lightroom collection update the keywords, can I update those files that are already in the Media folder of WP even if they are not in a same collection structure like the one in LR .

Would LR sync find those files in the WP Medial folders even if they are arranged in other folders that were created other media folders plugin. The files would have the same name. Would this be enough that they get recognized and changed the metadata?

    Hi @mastix,

Unfortunately, things are never that easy with WordPress, not all the plugins magically recognize, know and work together ?? I am sure there are videos out there explaining how to use WP/LR Sync, but you’ll never find the answer to all your questions.

I usually recommend a developer or a technical person to help, since really everything can be done with WP/LR Sync.

But you should think of it as a plugin that simply uploads files from your Lightroom to your WordPress, as if you were dropping the files in WordPress by yourself. Nothing else happens ??

Now if you create folders and collections on the Lightroom side, they will exist virtually in WP/LR Sync (Perfect Images) on the WordPress side. But if Media Folders doesn’t know how WP/LR Sync works, it will never show those. My plugin also ship its own Explorer/Browser that will show you the hierarchy. Real Media Library is another plugin (similar to WP Media Folders) which actually handle WP/LR Sync too.

But don’t worry, WP/LR Sync will not mess what you did with WP Media Folders. It doesn’t do anything to it. WP/LR Sync only keeps its own virtual organization, which is used by the other plugins if they are willing to do it ??

Thank you very much for your answer. Good to know that this plugin cannot mess anything on the WP site . I am quite proficient in Lightroom or Photoshop and can fix any disaster that would occur on this side, but when it comes to WP I am a total beginner and any mess there takes a long time to fix.

Would love to be able to hire a developer. Unfortunately, I am not there yet to afford such things and will get my hands dirty with the complexities of WP and WooCommerce . If I can finally not handle it, I will go to Shopify that everyone recommends for people like me that are not very tech-savvy. But I still want to try if the WP route will work.
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation.

    Kind regards

    Cristian
