I understand there are issues with FSE sites and the latest TEC releases (I’m working with a new site on WP 6.3 and the 2023 theme), but I’m still baffled by how to edit the basic TEC templates. Either I’m missing something, or there is absolutely no way to, for example, reorder the various elements (price, meta, organizer, map etc.) on a single event page. In fact, having exhaustively gone through all the php files in the TEC plugin’s SRC/view folder I can only identify those that control most (not all) of the individual block elements but none that have any impact on the overall layout/order of all the elements on the single event page.

Having done extensive template customizing of TEC v4.x on an older site (running on an older, pre-FSE version of WordPress) I thought I knew my way around the plugin, but apparently I’m either missing something obvious or TEC is now missing some pretty vital functionality for those of use who want to customize anything beyond a few small parts of an event’s layout. In older versions of TEC, for example, I extensively customized single-event.php and some of the related files it called. Making changes to single-event.php or single-event-blocks.php in TEC 6.2 now seems to have zero effect on the single event page as rendered by WordPress 6. Is this to be expected?

I have not enabled the Gutenberg block editor interface for creating events, so when adding an even I just select the theme’s default template (there is apparently no option in TEC settings anymore to use the TEC default template, which I suspect is the problem). Any pointers you can give would be appreciated, or if custom templating is indeed totally borked for FSE installations right now it would be nice to get some idea of how long you think it will take to fix.
