Is there any way for anyone to edit the content of a ticket? I said in a previous support thread that I wanted to use the search function quite a bit, but it will only search by subject and content. I’m looking at situations where a customer says:

Customer (content): I need help with X
Customer (reply): Actually I also need Y

I would like for (at least) the administrator to be able to edit the original content so that it shows a summary of all the replies that have happened so far, so that I can search by them.

However, I noticed that you can’t edit a ticket once it’s been created. How do I change that?

    Hi:

Unfortunately, editing the opening ticket post is not a feature of the plugin at this time. We erred on the side of making sure that the audit trail was not disturbed. In order to allow editing you would need to create a custom add-on or modify the plugin code directly.

    Sorry about that.

Would you be able to provide any guidance as to how I might do that?

    Hi:

You can start with our add-on template on github which allows you to access all the internal structures of Awesome Support immediately. Maybe you can look to add a metabox with a button in it that pops up an editor with the contents of the ticket. The ticket itself it just a custom post type to you can access it using normal WP generic functions.

    Thanks.
