• WP 6.4 gave us Expand On Click but I have one problem.

I have a page with 100 images. I don’t want to go to each of them to enable Expand on Click. I want all images to be EOC by default.

I know I can enable this for the whole website but that’s not what I want.

I thought the toggle simply adds a CSS class, but so far I haven’t seen any new CSS class.

Wondering if anyone found a hack or workaround on how you can enable Expand on Click for all images on a single page?

Hi @xuyunzeng – at this stage it’s not something that I’m aware of a way to do – but I’ll leave this thread open in case others may have figured out a way.

@xuyunzeng, you can set this globally in Blocks:
Open a template, on the right handside at the top there is a round black and white icon (this is where you apply various styles…), click on it then look for Blocks then Image > Expand on click.

Interesting @rawdolphe! I thought you could only do this through the theme.json setting.

I am guessing this enables it globally, which is close to what I wanted.

The reason why I’ve only asked to enable it on a single page is to avoid this functionality being enabled outside of a photo gallery page. I am concerned there’ll some images that I don’t want people to expand on click.

in 6.5 RC-2 The location has been moved to the link dialog. It is no longer possible to apply open on click to multiple images. Now we must select one image, or each image individually in gallery to apply the lightbox. hmm, how to apply to all selected images?

    I agree with this remark.

And since 6.5 it is not working properly: image is not expanded on some cases.
