Any way to export and import existing structure?

    I’m currently evaluating a rebuild of my website. I use this plugin to keep track and order to all my post images. WordPress has an import and export tool and that includes media, but unfortunately it places all the images back in the default folder structure of WordPress. The upside to this is that it imports the media with the same media IDs, so galleries load properly by image ID, but all post links to single images break because they’re not in the correct folder structure. I could do the inverse, copy over the files and folder structure of what I have, then the links work find, but the image IDs aren’t imported so the galleries break, since they are setup by image ID.

    The best of both worlds would be if there were an export and import for this tool, then all media\image IDs could be retained AND the folder structure would be kept as well.

    The only thing I can think of is to use a plugin that copies the whole existing site such as One Click Migrate. Then you could preserve the folder striation and image IDs.
