I used to use it as a widget and kept it sticky so it was easy for people to navigate the large pages and posts. Worked great.

Now I have moved all my widgets under the main content with some CSS styling provided by the theme developer (generatepress).

Of course this means now I can’t have a sticky block with the TOC in it. Is there any non widget way to have a block with the TOC in?

You can use the auto insert method or use the [toc] shortcode.

Auto insert method would put the contents in the post ? I’m wanting a sticky block, like those ones you see for social sharing sometimes with TOC contents? Not possible?

Yes, auto insert would place it in the post. I misread and thought that was what you were asking.

Sorry, no, there is no sticky block available at this time.
