Any way to Tag or use categories?

I have a long list of categories that have several quotes under each category. Some have authors, some don’t. Is there any way to tag a quote to one or multiple categories/tags (Separate tags with commas) within the plugin? Quotes Collection plugin has the ability to use tags, but after trying both, I find Quotes Llama closer to what I am looking for. Really Hoping there’s a solution?

On the frontend people could see all the quotes relating to Topix X or Y etc…. as well as search by author.
