    Hi Everyone

Does anybody know if Malcolm (@malcolm-oph), the plugin author, is still active in this forum?
If not, is there anybody else who is able to help with some of the bugs and other problems that are being posted? I know that @bobocop and @weazel91 are “power users” who have answered quite a lot of questions.

    Many thanks!

To my knowledge is it not the first time Malcolm takes a break. I have these periods myself. To this day Malcolm is still the main contributor, the rest of us are just experienced users. (At least I am.)

Just did a check, Malcolm was active 11h. ago,so he is still around just gif him a little time he’ll come around. (Or we will do our best.) The Time we free up by resolving issues as users we will free up time for the developer. It is a way of paying back for the great work he has all ready done by developing this and giving it to us for free.

    Hi @bobocop

You’re right – Malcolm has had a break before and I certainly don’t begrudge him doing so again. StageShow, when it is working well, is an awesome plugin which has served our theatre well for many years. (We did actually pay $120 for StageShow Gold before it was released as a free plugin) Some of the features, like the drill-down, were actually added at my suggestion, and Malcolm has generally been very responsive in the past, for which we are all grateful.

However, I would just dearly like someone to fix some of the problems that have apparently arisen in the last couple of years – most notably that of missing data from the reservation userform which is preventing reservation emails being sent.

    Cheers,
    Graham

    Hi all,

Malcolm is active when he can be and I must commend Graham for his comments. We have personally donated (although very little in the grand scheme of things) to the development of Stageshow and to Malcolm. This was due to us feeling that Stageshow is such a vital piece of software for us to continue our operations and, although there are a few small bits here and there, the whole software in and of itself is really rock solid.

@grahammandeno Please see the latest release notes as it states “Bug Fix: Reservation Form entries not added to sale details” and this may fix your issue.

@bobocop is right too. All we can do is assist one another, and, for all I dabble in PHP/HTML, I am far from close to fully reading and understanding the code written by Malcolm. As they say, I know enough to be dangerous!

I am still around although not as heavily involved in the day to day runnings of our Stageshow install, but happy to pop into the forum to assist where I can in between life and work.

    Hi everyone

Thank you, Chris, for your comments, and THANK YOU MALCOLM FOR THE FIX!!!!

I also am in the “know enough to be dangerous” category, but I’d really like to help if I can. I’ve worked with more that 10 different programming languages over the years, but unfortunately PHP is not one of them. However, I’d like to think I’m not too old to learn ??

    Cheers,
    Graham

PS: I love the customisations you have done on your website, Chris, and I might email you privately about them if you don’t mind.

    Hi @grahammandeno,

Not a problem. Just pop me an email and we can have a chat.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you power users… I am a user and love the plugin and very grateful for the support here. As you all say, Malcolm is a star in my eyes and deserves all the accolades. I have often said (and I think a lot of us users would agree) that a monthly subscription would be well acceptable if someone wanted to take up that challenge. Anyway, thanks again.

    Steve
