• Been getting a lot of hack attempts lately, which Wordfence has done it’s job against. Problem is when multiple wordpress sites are getting attacked on my server at the same time it really puts a load on the server.

I was thinking of creating a script that runs every 15 mins or so that checks Wordfence log for IP blocks and than adds it to the main server firewall. I’m also thinking of instead having a special email address setup that Wordfence will email alerts to, which will trigger the script to run on the IP contained in that email so that it can happen in real time.

Has anyone tried something like this?

Good, so I’m not insane for wanting to do this! ??

I just realized there doesn’t seem to be any “block logs” for Wordfence. So I think the email “pipe” is the way to go.
