Anything other than default roles unable to upload – http error

An Editor can upload images normally without a problem.

If i copy the Editor role to a new role and change nothing, the new role cannot upload to the media library. The filr uploads but then fails with “HTTP Error”.

This is true of all roles created in CM.

Am I missing something?
