Okay. No problem. Will include this fix in the next release. So, don’t worry about losing these changes on updating the plugin.

seems after the latest update to Version 7.12.15 the problem returned. The file given on Github does not work anymore and breaks the site. Could you please update the patched file?

Hello again,
it seems that the update after a few hours brought the resources sky high (cpu & entry processes) and eventually the site went offline (resource limit reached).
After a look at the logs i got a lot of these error 400:
GET /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=the_champ_sharing_count… from the bing bot (!).
I also get this error from the log:

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'facebook' in /var/www/vhosts/[sitename]/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/inc/social_sharing.php on line 1058

I disabled the plugin and the site is back on line.
Should i restore two versions back when it worked fine or is there a fix to this?

This doesn’t happen unless some bot/script targets this url /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=the_champ_sharing_count
If the patch file posted above fixed this problem (as you reported) then this plugin update should also have fixed it.
You need to patch the “wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/inc/social_sharing.php” file with the file at the link https://gist.github.com/Heateor/444a2445271e3e1e28ef93d089d3fd21
This one should fix it.
