Is it possible to add an email address to the subscriber list with custom code?

    First of all thank you for creating this plugin and sharing it with the community.

    It there a standardize way (API?) to add an email by the PHP code to the “Email Subscribers & Newsletters” DB tables? Why I am asking? I would like to use your extension on a checkout page of my Woocommerce installation.

    I was planning to add a checkbox “Do you want to receive updates?” and depending of its status take the email address from the checkout form and add it to subscriber list.

    Is that possible?

    Yes, there is. This is the function you can use.

    We are planning to add support for WooCommerce in Email Subscribers.
