• Great widget. Using Version 2.3

Anyone else getting time-outs when the widget is trying to call the Twitter API?

I’m getting notifications from my server that a PHP process has been kicked off telling me a connection has been opened to an outside IP address, then it just keeps running and never times out.

Searching on the IP revealed others are having this problem:

Most likely an issue with Twitter’s new API, but if there’s any way the widget can be modified so that it times out gracefully if there’s no response and stops leaving running PHP processes on my machine that would be great.

    thanks in advance!

    Hi lyndonr,
the plugin uses the Codebird library to access the Twitter API. Today we released the 2.3.1 plugin release, featuring the upstream Codebird code that could solve your issue. Please update it and tell us about it!

    Great, updated.

I’ll keep an eye on it, hopefully that did the trick.

    thank you!
