Hi, I use zara 4 in several sites with no issues. However, one of them doesn’t keep api credentials after being saved. I get the OK message after introducing credentials, but when I try to compress images I get again the message “Zara 4 needs to be setup before you can compress your images. Continue Setup”.

This is the site I used for trial, I could compress first images perfectly. I have a 5gb 1 time plan with 4.5 Gb remaining.

    Hi Paliducho,

We’re having a bit of trouble replicating this issue at the moment. We believe it’s possible there may be some kind of configuration/permissions issue on your WP server or that the Zara 4 settings storage has been corrupted in some way.

Can I get you to please upgrade to our latest plugin v1.1.14. You can then reset the Zara 4 plugin settings by clicking the ‘Clear Settings’ button at the bottom of the Zara 4 plugin setting page. Then try re-entering your API credentials.

The latest update also provides an alternative settings storage method that should work as a fallback if there is a configuration problem.

I’ve checked your account and there’s no problem there, so we think it must be something to do with our WP plugin.

Let me know how you get on.

    Friendly regards,
    Carl.

This is the site I used for trial. It looks like the problem comes from here, as I have no issue in any other site in this server or any other.

I did everything you suggested but didn’t work.

    Thanks

    Hi Paliducho,

We remain unable to replicate the issues you appear to be experiencing.

We believe this may be due to PHP not having the correct ‘write’ permissions in the root directory for your WordPress site.
Can I ask you again, to upgrade to our latest release 1.1.15. Try un-installing Zara 4 and re-installing the new version from ‘fresh’.

Should the problem persist, we will need to have much greater knowledge of exactly the set-up you have used.
We would need to know the operating system, PHP version and MYSQL version.
Hopefully, by re-installing the new new fresh version, we will have fixed the problems and this will not be necessary.

Let me know how you get on.

    Friendly regards,
    Lisa

I’m sorry, no way. I did everything but nothing worked.

If you give me an email I can send you access admin to my site, ftp or whatever you need if this is useful for you.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Paliducho,
If you send the details to [email protected] I can get an engineer to look at it for you. We believe this is something to do with your server settings, and with the ability to access your site, we should be able to find it.
[email protected] is a secure email address.
    Friendly regards,
    Lisa

I tried with both php versions, 5.4.16 and 5.6.28.

    Hi Paliducho,

thank you for your assistance with this issue. The problem seems to have been caused by the Zara 4 plugin settings being incorrectly cached by WordPress or another caching plugin on your server.

In our latest plugin v1.1.18 we have implemented a fix for this, so hopefully this is now resolved.

Let me know how you get on.

    Friendly regards,
    Lisa
