• Hi there – not sure if this is the right place, but I’ll ask anyway. Basically, I’m trying to activate the Akismet plugin, for which I need an “API key”, which apparently should have been emailed to me when I set up a WordPress.com account. I have a working blog. I have a login and password, and can access my blog admin section. But I don’t have an original mail from WordPress (might I have deleted it? – ouch). So, anyway, what do I do to get an API key at this stage? Is it possible that I have a functioning blog, but don’t yet have a wordpress.com account? If so, I suppose, I can simply set up a new account. If not, what do I do?

    Cheers,
    Cormac

Oops – oh crap, I’m really sorry – have now read relevant threads on this list (which I hadn’t realised existed, have noted that there is a difference between www.ads-software.com and .COM, have registered there, got my API key and activated the plugin.

I feel your wrath. I will shut up now.
