• Maybe I’m missing something but just upgraded wordpress and cannot seem to find the API key anywhere – not under my profile/account or dashboard. Please help.

  • To get an API key, you need an account (not necessarily a blog) at wordpress.com. Sign up there, and you’ll have a key which you can use where required on your self-hosted WordPress site.

    Thanks so much but still not getting it. I have a bluehost account which and a wordpress blog. I cannot register my blog as it come up with the wordpress.com domain. Hmmm how can I get an API key without a wordpress domain?

    I had the same problem, I didn’t know there was a wordpress.com AND a www.ads-software.com ..and they don’t have the same forum and only one of them gives u an API key.
