Api rest (php): images of deleted products remain

To delete the images themselves, you’ll want to make use of:

• The WordPress REST API: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/rest-api/reference/media/#delete-a-media-item (See the Example Request to do that with cURL); OR
• Direct DB SQL queries: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/286780/did-i-do-it-right-deleting-images-after-deleting-product-woocommerce

Why dont using the Api Rest (https://woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/#delete-a-product)? is it a bug of that?

No bug; Media forms part of the core WordPress functions (even when used by custom post types like “products”) which means you’ll need to use the WordPress REST API for that.

I have a doubt. If I need to use the wordpress rest API, what is the use of the deletion using the woocommerce REST API (https://woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/?php#delete-a-product)?

In short, Media forms part of WordPress itself – Hence the WordPress API. The product custom post type, along with its metadata fields forms part of WooCommerce – Hence the WooCommerce API. There’s no need to for the WooCommerce API to duplicate functionality that is already available through another API that must be present for WooCommerce to work ??

I have tried to apply the solution exposed in the url that you have added (https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/286780/did-i-do-it-right-deleting-images-after-deleting-product-woocommerce) but the query to the database, to find the post related to the product, comes out empty.

  'post_mime_type' => 'image',
  'post_parent' => (int) $productId,
  'post_status' => 'inherit',

$child = get_children($args);

I have created the products as indicated by the REST API documentation but in the field “post_parent” it is always empty (and therefore the search necessary to obtain the attachment does not work).
