Hi @stevejburge! I have a few questions for you:

    1. When you’re using our plugin, do you see any JS issues on the console?
    2. Do you have any sort of CDN / server / plugin cache enabled on your site? Does it happen even with that cache disabled?

    Hi @tokyobiyori

    1. There are no errors in the console. The returned page content is just entirely empty.
    2. These are brand new test sites, spun up on LocalWP, WPEngine, and InstaWP.

I’m guessing about the API issue as this is the closest error I could find:

“This is a bug that we introduced in the latest update where non-admin users in AIOSEO Lite don’t have access to a few of our REST API routes.” https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/alert-aioseo-pro-relies-on-the-wordpress-rest-api-and-your-site-might-have-it-d/

    Hi @stevejburge,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this. The issue seems to be happening because you are using the Lite/Free version of AIOSEO and those screens are restricted to Admins. Once you upgrade to Pro, then you will be able to modify access control settings.

Also, the menu items for AIOSEO settings should not be showing for non-administrator roles in the Lite version of the plugin. This is something we are now working on fixing.

I hope this information helps, but don’t hesitate to let us know if you need anything else.

OK, thanks for reporting back. That’s disappointing that this plugin doesn’t play better with the WordPress ecosystem.
