Apostrophe Shown as Strange Characters in Custom Theme

  • Hi all,

    I am currently developing my own WordPress theme and have an issue with apostrophe’s in posts.

    When the post is rendered to the page using the loop, an apostrophe entered in a post appears as a€?.

    I know it’s going to be a problem with my code somewhere, but I don’t know where to look. I’m not necessarily looking for ‘the answer’ but hoping someone could point me in the right direction towards a fix.
