Apostrophes in Weblog Title

  • Whenever I enter an apostrophe in the Weblog Title field of WP Admin > Options > General, something adds a forward slash in front of it.

    “buyer’s” becomes “buyer/’s”

    If I instead enter Alt+0146 for the apostrophe, WP renders it correctly.

    Is this a bug or do I have a problem with my usage of WP?
