I have had to delete the app for debugging my site but the floating social media links (rss, email, facebook, twitter) on the right side of the home page are still visible.

In Chrome they show as broken links with icon missing.
In Safari and iOs Safari the links are still visible with icons.
in Firefox they don’t appear to be visible at all.

I urgently need to fix something on my site. Please could you advise me on how I can complete remove these elements (and any others from this plugin) so that I can debug before restoring again.

    Many thanks !

I cleared the cache for my site in Safari and now the icons are showing as broken / no image but the link is still there …

For example one of them has the following link

Do you use any caching plugins, or is there any caching from the server side (e.g. Cloudflare etc.)? If so, could you please purge cache there?

    (@d4d5bh6)

I see you’re using lazy load. Please clear cache there.

no other caching to my knowledge.

    what is lazy load ?

See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonElastiCache/latest/mem-ug/Strategies.html. It is a form of caching.

See https://monosnap.com/file/2agFaLEKCaRAxNSzqiDPuExFQGuGEv, I assume that has something to do with the issue.

Thanks – after doing Purge All in Litespeed Cache, the icons seem to have disappeared.

Thank you so much for your speedy help.

Before closing the thread can you tell me if it is possibkle to use this plugin without the floating icons ? I couldn’t see anywhere in settings to stop this …

Ok good. Happy to help you with this as well, however there should only be one topic per thread, so please ask your other question here https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/ultimate-social-media-icons/. Thank you!
