"App Domains" and as the "Site URL"

    I only see App Domains in the new app I created, and when I put in what your plugin instructs me to, it won’t take it – and gives the error message:

    This must be derived from Canvas URL, Secure Canvas URL, Unity Binary URL, Site URL, Mobile Site URL, Page Tab URL or Secure Page Tab URL. Check and correct the following domains: (my domain name)

    I am not sure what to do next, as the URL is correct, and I have retried it in many formats (with and without http, www, etc.)

    Hi Jtmccormack,

    This error message is due to mismatch of domain name and site URL in your APP settings, so please make sure your domain name and site URL is same like:

    I do not think that is it. Your plug in says:

    choose your App and click Edit Settings. Please Enter bereanbiblechurch.org/wp in both “App Domains” and “Site URL”

    I click the link in the plugin and it takes me to the FB app. Within the app, under the settings option, there is only a field “App Domains” and nothing called “Site URL” – but when I put our site URL in, it gives me that error.

    Nowhere else in the whole app creation process has it asked me for the URL, so it does not exist in the app yet at all. I have entered the URL as bereanbiblechurch.org/wp, and https://bereanbiblechurch.org/wp and https://www.bereanbiblechurch.org/wp and it just gives the same error over and over.

    However, you are right about the bug, now I cannot get back into my site, when I do I just get lines of error code about your plugin. Not sure what to do now to get around this. If I FTP in and delete the file folder for your plugin will that work?

    I deleted the file via FTP, which did get me back in, and I reinstalled the plug in – so all if well – I just need you all to log in and do the connecting to FB as you mentioned.

    You need to click to add Plateform for adding SiteURL.

    OK, that part worked. But when trying to add the URL into the upper App Domains area it still won’t take. However, I tried putting just our root URL in (dropping the /wp) and it took that. I assume that is okay.

    Yes, Domain will only use Root URL of website.

    It might be a good idea to change those instructions within the plug in to reflect that fact. It now says to add the WP path, which is not always the root. That and maybe add the instructions to add a platform. Thanks for your help in this matter.
